Trojan A Capella Choir
Nestled at the base of Casper Mountain, Kelly Walsh High School is one of two high schools in Casper, Wyoming, U.S.A. Boasting over 1900 students, this school provides six choir opportunities for its students in addition to classes in band, orchestra, guitar, and music theory. The Trojan A Cappella Choir is its top choral ensemble with between fifty and seventy members each year. Singing a variety of styles, this choir prides itself in excellence in singing, professionalism, and leadership. A Cappella has received many accolades, both at the state level and regionally.

As part of this year’s Edinburgh International Science Festival, bring your kids along to this free workshop! Come along with us to explore how instruments and voices sound differently depending on where you stand in this unique stone building. Using one instrument in many spaces, you’ll follow a trail through the Cathedral with wee kazoos, making impromptu mini-concerts as you go. As an encore, you’ll have the chance to create your own musical instrument to take home using recycled and reclaimed materials!

Daniela Giordano
Her debut in the USA, at Carnegie Hall in New York, cements her as one of the most interesting pianists of her generation. Daniela Giordano began studying the piano when she was very young, revealing an innate talent and passion for music. She graduated summa cum laude and honourable mention at U. Giordano Conservatory of Music. She has been awarded First Prize in National and International Piano Competitions and performs as a soloist in the most important concert halls and theatres in the world. She has published her first record: Giordano 2.0, a monography dedicated to piano works by Umberto Giordano, which received a recognition by the Scientific Technical Committee established by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities for the 150th anniversary of the birth of the composer. Her live performances have been broadcasted by RAI (Italian Public Television) and Classical Planet.
