Robert Burns Family Day – Saturday 27th January 2018

A full day of family fun celebrating the life and legacy of Scotland’s National Bard, Robert Burns, with a lunchtime concert, craft session and music and poetry workshops.

St Giles’ Cathedral where you can try your hand
at the crafts of the Trade Guilds of Old Edinburgh!
Upcoming sessions:

Saturday 27th January 2:30 – 4pm (Robert Burns special)
Saturday 24th February 2pm – 4pm
Saturday 24th March 2pm – 4pm
◾Workshops are open to children aged 5 – 15 with accompanying adult.
◾Maximum of 20 – 25 children per workshop.
◾Places will be given on a first come first serve basis.
◾Workshops will take place in the Moray Aisle, to the right of the Welcome desk.
◾Participation is by recommended donation of £2 per child with all
proceeds gratefully received towards running costs.

Time Bubble Tales

Come and enter the Time Bubble with your wee tot and travel back in time with
Debbie the Deer to learn about Scottish history through the eyes of a building that has witnessed it all!

What you need to know about Time Bubble Tales!

What?
Time Bubble Tales are our new sessions of story-telling, songs and sensory engagement activities, centred on a Scottish history and folklore theme, promising a fun and educational experience for both child and parent.

Who?
Our workshops are for under 4 year olds with an accompanying adult. At present we have a limit of 12 children per workshop.

Where?
They will take place in the main cathedral space at the Chancel.

When?

Nurseries are invited to book private slots via email.

How much?
Entry is £2 per child, with all proceeds going towards running costs.
Workshop places will be given on a first come first serve basis
with no prior booking necessary.

We hope you’ll join us in exploring our unique Scottish heritage through the age old medium of storytelling and song.
