The Violin Consort quartet was founded by four friends, who are also the best Polish musicians specializing in historical music. The name of the ensemble refers to the 16th-century practice of creating families of homogeneous instruments called consortas. The ensemble has in their repertoire music from XVI century consort and dance music to works of XXI century composers. They have been playing together for over a dozen years, being at the same time active members of such groups as Wrocław Baroque Orchestra, Warsaw Chamber Opera and Wrocław Baroque Ensemble.
