We have always been very fond of this cat-like Green Man, with his gentle eyes and prominent whiskers. While very common in churches and cathedrals across Britain, Green Men are medieval carvings from a pre-Christian era that represent everything from re-birth to death, from delight in nature to the fear of the forest. You can find out more about them in our podcast:  https://stgilescathedral.org.uk/st-giles-files-ep-18-green-people/
