Sunday In-person Worship
Our Sunday worship will be a service of Morning Prayer at 11.30am.
Following Scottish government guidelines, a maximum of 50 worshippers will be allowed to attend the service and will be seated at the correct distance. Face coverings are to be worn by all attending. Hand sanitiser will be available for all to use on entry to and exit from the cathedral.
The service will last approximately 40 minutes and will not include congregational singing. Organ music and a cantor will be a part of the service.
Those wishing to attend the service are required to give advance notice so that we can monitor numbers and fulfil the contact tracing requirement the government has in place. We take bookings only for the Sunday at the end of the current week.
In order to request a place you can either
⦁ email the Cathedral by no later than 1pm on the Friday prior to the Sunday at firstname.lastname@example.org and include the names and contact numbers of those wishing to attend; a reply will be sent confirming your place if numbers allow, and you will be sent a numerical code which you may be asked for at the door;
⦁ phone the Cathedral on 0131 225 4363 on the Wednesday or Friday prior, between the times of 11am and 1pm, when a member of staff will be available to answer the call, note names and contact numbers, and issue you with a numerical code which you may be asked for at the door. Calls relating to this cannot be taken outwith these times.
Stewards will be present to ensure the smooth running of the operation.
I look forward to seeing you.
