Director – Dr James Heffel:

Dr. James Heffel has been the Director of Vocal Arts Activities at College of the Mainland for 33 years. A full tenured professor, he directs all vocal/choral ensembles, teaches private voice, in addition to academic music coursework. The College is located in Texas City, Texas, and is a suburb of the Houston/Galveston Metropolitan area.

The Mainland Chorale:

The Mainland Chamber Chorale is a part of the larger Mainland Chorale, and specializes in repertoire selected for our Performance Tour of Scotland and England. The title of this group’s program is “Our American Musical Heritage,” and includes diverse styles in American Music, including Folk, Jazz, Broadway, and Traditional Choral Music.
